Six academic staff members of the School of Education Studies at Edgewood attended a writing retreat weekend, on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, where they focused on writing their research papers in a supportive environment.

The weekend started with a session where each person shared with the colleagues what they were going to write. The experienced researchers supported those less experienced researchers in identifying relevant academic journals where papers will be sent for publication, writing the abstracts for papers and shaping their research work into journal articles. The writing and support continued until Sunday.

The writing retreat was a weekend of hard work, but in a supportive and relaxed environment. All papers will be reviewed within the school in November before they are submitted to the relevant journals.
